Ornaments - Although glassmaking was practiced in Venice from the 10th century on, the earliest known Venetian ornament dates from the 15th century. Concentrated on the island of Murano, the Venetian industry dominated the European market until 1700. Glass Ornaments.

Here is a beautiful handcrafted solid glass pair of figurines from the Degenhart Museum. They are called Bernard and Eldena. The glass is an attractive crystal with a colorful carnival iridization. Both are marked on the base with a D in a heart. The measurements are 2 3/4" tall by 7/8" wide. Both are in mint condition with no chips or cracks.
